Sonya investigates the quiet rebellion of a mind that refuses to be confined. My work is an exploration of the quiet, internal fractures that occur when we are physically anchored but mentally adrift. I seek to map the geography of the "locked mind". My art inhabits the friction between these two states, being present in name only, while the consciousness migrates to a distant, unreachable "elsewhere."
